If you're using Outlook® to manage appointments, meetings and tasks, TenClock will show you everything you need to know to keep on top of things at a glance - with reminders in case you forget. There's no requirement to keep Outlook running.
TenClock's interactive tool tip appears when you move your mouse over the clock. It you don't see the tool tip fully, click on the tool tip or the clock to bring the tool tip to the front. The tool tip will remain visible until you move your mouse away from both the tool tip and the clock.

TenClock will display:
- colored pie slices on the clock face showing your appointments and meetings for the next twelve hours
- appointment, meeting and open task details in its interactive tool tip
- appointments for any day in the current or next month, in the Appointments Calendar window
- popup reminders for any appointments or meetings that have an alarm set
Appointments and Meetings
TenClock refreshes your lists of appointments, meetings and tasks every five minutes, so there will be up to a five minute delay between creating or editing an appointment, meeting or task in Outlook and seeing the results on your clock. [If you absolutely must see your latest appointment or task immediately, select "Outlook Profile Or Store..."from TenClock's main menu and click OK. This doesn't change your Outlook settings, but does refresh the display.]
All-day events are not shown on the clock face. However, they are shown in the tool tip for your clock, and also in the Appointments Calendar, with "All Day" instead of a time range.
The color used for appointments and meetings on the face of the clock can be set in the Configure dialog (see Configure your clock ).
Any meeting that is currently ongoing will be shown in a slightly brighter color on the clock, and with green times and bold text in the tool tip - for example, the meeting from 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the illustration above.
A newly added meeting will be shown in a very bright or dark color (depending on the color theme you've chosen), for about five minutes, and the corresponding entry in the tool tip will be in italic.
The interactive tool tip for the clock shows your meetings and appointments for a full day, today by default. The tool tip appears when you move your mouse over the clock (click on the clock to bring it to the front if the toolip isn't completely visible). While the tool tip is showing, you can move your mouse over it and click on any day in either of the two month calendars to display appointments for a different day. Note there's no need to hold the mouse button down in order to see the tool tip, or while moving your mouse around within it. When you move your mouse away from the tool tip, it will disappear. (If your mouse accidentally strays too far into the Appointments area - well, try it and see!)
The Appointments Calendar will show you all appointments on any given day for the current or next month. To change the date for displayed appointments in the Appointments Calendar, click on a day in either of the month calendars. Unlike the tool tip version, this window won't go away until you close it, using the close box in the Appointments Calendar window itself, or by selectiing "Appointments Calendar" again from the clock's main menu.
Tasks ("To Do")
Open tasks or "To Do" items are displayed at the bottom of the tool tip, after any appointments. Only open tasks are shown. Overdue tasks will be shown with red dates and italic text, to make them slightly more noticeable. Tasks due today will have "Due today" beside them rather than today's date, and bold text. Tasks are listed in order of due date, followed by tasks without due dates which in turn are listed in order of the date they were created.
Reminders
Appointment reminders in TenClock are small square windows that slide out (or "pop up") from your task bar. A reminder will pop up at most five times, staying up for about twenty seconds each time, before stopping on its own. To dismiss a reminder, click on the reminder or click on your clock.
Reminders are not shown for tasks - tasks are always listed at the bottom of your clock's tool tip.
You can turn reminders on and off, and select whether to play a sound, using the Configure dialog down near the bottom of the dialog. Use Outlook as usual to select whether to show a reminder or not for each appointment.
